Harry Raab developed an eye for photography whilst living in Austria and exploring Europe behind the lens in the late 1990s.
Harry has always been naturally drawn to the great outdoors. Fulfilling his creative passion for photography and the constant allure of travel, Harry has created a series of stunning panoramic images, specialising in capturing the wild essence of Australia’s vast natural beauty.
Recent photography trips have had Harry exploring spectacular regions of remote Australia. These grand natural arenas have been vividly portrayed in his impressive series of work, which pays tribute to our natural monuments.
Fusing his chosen traditional film methods with the best of modern technology has culminated in realising his unique vision.
His perseverance and dedication has been rewarded with some breathtaking moments. Such as in Rainbow Valley, when an orchestra of finches created a symphony of chirping against a panoramic backdrop of a ever-changing kaleidoscope of colours, spliced by sunshine and contrasting ominously dark drifting clouds.
Other adventures have included exploring Karijini National Park (W.A.), the West McDonald Ranges (N.T.), the Bay of Fires (Tas), Great Ocean Road (Vic), and The BreakAway’s (S.A.).
